10 Hailey Bieber Red Carpet Beauty Looks That Are Perfect for Brides

Dewy and Fresh-Faced

Hailey Beiber’s 2022 Met Gala look is a minimalist bride’s dream: simple and dewy with a lit-from-within glow. “Every feature is naturally balanced,” notes Nick Lujan, director of artistry and education at Kevyn Aucoin Beauty. “The skin is glowing and all colors are naturally found in the skin tone.”

With great skin being the star of the show, brides will want to start with something light and natural like a skin tint—we like Ilia’s Super Serum Skin Tint mixed with a luminizer like Kevyn Aucoin Glass Glow Face and Body Gloss for extra glow. Lujan recommends following with a clear brow gel to feather out the brows, concealer only where needed, no eyeshadow, and just a hint of color on the cheeks. 

Classic Glamour

A red lip and a white gown is like fresh-squeezed orange juice and prosecco. Both are great on their own, but combined, it’s a match made in heaven. This burgundy lip looks especially gorgeous paired with a touch of sparkle on the lids. “It’s glamorous with a touch of noir,” says makeup artist Cassandra Garcia. “Create a touch of depth with a taupe eye shadow in the crease and under the eye, and then blend any edges. Bronzed Goddess

If your wedding inspiration board is filled with beachy blonde babes and seaside sunsets, this effortless bronzy look is a perfect fit. But you don’t need to bake in the sun to get this glow (in fact, please never do that!). “Mixing blush and bronzer tones can be an incredibly flattering way to bring color into your complexion,” says Zanna Roberts Rassi, co-founder of Milk Makeup. “I recommend using bronzer to create a natural, warm glow across your forehead, the tops of your cheeks, and down your nose. Nude and Polished

Monochromatic nude is equal parts trendy and timeless (you won’t ever regret keeping things neutral). A matte foundation lends itself to the tonal look while a powdery brown shadow adds a little drama to the lids (we like Mac Matte Eyeshadow in Soft Brown). Bieber’s Golden Globes look is perfect for the bride that lives and breathes classic red-carpet drama. “Every feature is glammed and detailed,” says Lujan, who recommends starting with a medium-coverage foundation and concealer. To keep the color scheme cohesive, Lujan recommends mixing your lip color with a bit of foundation to create a custom cream blush. Fill the brows with color (Anastasia Beverly Hills Perfect Brow Pencil is pigmented enough to add some drama without looking painted on), then contour the eyelids with a neutral shadow. Finish with accents of shimmery shadow under the brow arch, the center of the lid, and the inner corners of the eye.

Vampy Smokey Eye

“This look is great for an evening wedding or a makeup change for the reception,” says makeup artist Katie Mellinger. This dramatic moment can be achieved with any color palette, but this coppery-red shadow looks great on most skin tones. Sweet and Peachy

Not to be cliche, but this look is very literally “blushing bride.” Perfect for a springtime wedding, it’s all about that sweet, juicy, monochromatic peach color. Mellinger recommends using a cream blush in a peachy nude, like Tower 28 BeachPlease Lip and Cheek Cream Blush in Rush Hour, on the apples of the cheeks and lips. “Line the lips with a nude pencil and use a satin lipstick, in a peachy nude shade, to keep the lips looking juicy,” she says. 

Flirty Cat Eye

A gentle flick of eyeliner can really snatch the face upward, which is what makes this such a popular bridal beauty look. Garcia recommends a black gel liner—like Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner—and then diffusing the edges of the cat eye with a dark brown shadow to make it look softer and more romantic. The rest of this beauty moment is sculpted and glowy, and brides should opt for a soft contour with a rose-hued blush on the cheekbones. 

Fashion Forward

This one goes out to rock-n-roll brides with a taste for sequins, four-inch stilettos, and three-olive martinis who might prefer something a bit different. This beauty moment is not for the faint of heart. “It’s best for a bride that loves a lot of color,” says Mellinger; and if your wedding is teeming with wildflowers or birds of paradise, this vibrant look is a natural fit. “These [eyeshadow] colors work here because they’re used lightly. If they’re very saturated, it could look too 80s.”
