Ever the romantics, the moment Pisces finds the love of their life—and gets to plan a celebration in honor of this connection—is everything to them. Born between February 19 and March 20, this Water sign is known for being deeply sensitive, compassionate, artistic, and empathetic. Pisces love to be creative and often find deep fulfillment in harnessing that creativity through art and self-expression.

Of course, being such an emotionally in-tune Water sign, Pisces will have very specific things they want when it comes to their big day—and the celebration must be executed in a way that puts the love above all else. “As the most dreamy and imaginative zodiac sign, Pisces are always in love with love!” says celebrity astrologer Kyle Thomas. “Ruled by the planet Neptune, they desire their wedding to feel magical and out of this world. However, the most important thing for them will be that their ceremony and reception honor the sensitivity and feelings of being bound as one, rather than just showing off for the entire world.”

Wedding Planning

“A Pisces woman would take a romantic, whimsical approach to wedding planning,” says astrologer Julia Topaz. She explains that flowers and feminine vibes will be central to the atmosphere, but a Pisces won’t be too concerned with smaller details. “The main concern is the music, the vibe, and sharing love with everyone,” says Topaz.

In terms of budgeting for the wedding, Thomas warns that it’s best for a Pisces bride or groom to have someone take a second look at their finances during the planning process. “Pisceans can be a bit frivolous with money, so if they don’t pay attention to their budget, they can spiral off a bit into the red,” he explains. “It would be wise to have other people give their plans a second look—even if that’s by enlisting an experienced wedding planner, financial advisor, or best man or maid of honor.”

Wedding Season

Since Pisces are so attuned to their own emotions and the emotions of their partner, they’ll want to get married (and plan the honeymoon!) during their most romantic season. Thomas says that these best times are Pisces season (February 19 to March 20), Cancer season (June 21 to July 22), Virgo season (August 23 to September 22), or near a full moon in Cancer, which happens every year from December 22 to January 19.

Wedding Venue

When it comes to choosing the right venue, Topaz emphasizes that true to form, a Pisces will want to exchange vows in a dreamy and mystical venue. “[They are] likely to pick a venue near water, in nature, or in any location she might deem romantic,” she explains.

Thomas agrees: “Pisceans will be drawn to venues that have a softer, more Neptunian feel to them—mystical, mysterious, and beautiful,” he says. In addition to those mystical vibes, there will probably be water involved, “whether that’s a waterfall, water fountain, or even taking place nearby a body of water.”

Wedding Décor

Out-of-this-world vibes are ideal for a Pisces wedding, with an abundance of ethereal decorations for both the ceremony and the reception. “Aesthetically, Pisces will want a more mystical and whimsical flair so their ceremony feels a little otherworldly,” says Thomas. Décor details that fit that vibe could include white and blue flowers, seashell details, hanging lights and lanterns, lots of candles, tropical greenery, neutral colors, and an ocean-inspired invitation suite.

In terms of theme ideas, astrologer Lisa Stardust says that a mermaid theme is a perfect fit for this vibe—as is a ceremony by the sea.

Wedding Food and Drink

For the menu and drinks at a Pisces wedding, think sea-inspired: Seafood, tropical flavors, and fruit-forward cocktails. “Rum Punch is a fruity cocktail that will satisfy Pisces’s thirst and satisfy their guests' palates,” says Stardust.

Wedding Cake

Whimsy is the name of the game when a Pisces is designing their dream wedding cake. “Pisces is the dreamer of the zodiac and is often at odds with fantasy and reality,” explains Stardust. “They deserve a whimsical cake with lots of texture to create a dream come to life.” Consider elements like an ombré blue and white buttercream frosting, or delicate seashells to decorate the cake.

Wedding Fashion

Stardust suggests that because Pisces are symbolized by fish, they should consider wearing a mermaid silhouette or an outfit in a shade of blue or green, “to represent the sea,” she says. Topaz recommends that Pisces opt for something elegant and delicate, ideally “a flowing, ethereal dress that complements her feminine, compassionate personality,” Topaz explains.

Honeymoon Destinations

There’s no doubt that this Water sign will absolutely delight in being near the ocean for the honeymoon—and also partaking in all sorts of water activities while by the sea. “The Great Barrier Reef is a Pisces dream!” says Stardust. “Being surrounded by whimsical coral reefs, turquoise salt water, and the golden sun will heighten the Piscean imagination,” she explains. “On vacation, the Piscean sea-dweller can enjoy deep sea delights such as snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, whale watching, and swimming with dolphins.”

Other idyllic Pisces honeymoon destinations include anywhere in the Caribbean, coastal New England in the summertime, or islands in the South Pacific like Fiji or Bora Bora.
