Disney ingenue, global pop star, successful beauty mogul, and most popular woman on Instagram. Selena Gomez has been a hit-maker through every era of her career, and her red-carpet beauty is no exception. That’s why Gomez is the perfect beauty icon to look to for guidance on your big day. (Plus, chances are you already own a few Rare Beauty products, so you’re basically halfway there).

No matter what kind of bride you are, there’s a Selena look to match: sweet and blushy for the garden wedding romantics, monochromatic for the low-maintenance backyard bride, gently sculpted for an elegant ballroom affair, and moody and dramatic to match a slinky silk wedding dress in a jazz club.

To help you find your perfect wedding day look, we put together some of Gomez’s best red-carpet beauty moments. Just picture yourself singing “Love You Like a Love Song” at the reception, like a certified pop-star-slash-actress-slash-business-woman.

Blushy Monochrome

The monochromatic equation is very simple—match any two of the following: eyes, lips, or cheeks. The result is low-maintenance and simple, but still polished and special enough for your big day. Here, Gomez has a matching beige-peach on both her lips and cheeks, and a slightly deeper plum on her lids (but any subtle color wash would do). A multi-tasking product should make this even easier—we like the Ilia Multi-Stick for the lips and the apples of the cheeks (Whisper is a good dupe for the color here). Keep the rest of the skin matte so the blushy color stands out.

Sleek and Chic

A super-crisp cat eye and a timeless red lip are like cacio e pepe and a glass of chianti—a perfect romance. This Gina Lollobrigida-esque look, in particular, is a great fit for brides that might be changing their dress or hairstyle before the reception, says makeup artist Sarah Walsh: “It is extremely versatile.” Walsh recommends NYX Epic Ink Liquid Eyeliner for a pigmented waterproof line, and an eyeliner guide or stencil if you need a little extra help keeping things clean. Keep the brows natural and the cheeks subtle, and finish with a matte red like Rare Beauty Lip Souffle Matte Cream Lipstick (duh!) in Inspire or Transform.

Sculpted Elegance

If a Greek statue of Aphrodite were to come to life and get married, this would be her look: softly sculpted and refined. But any good sculptor can tell you that you need to start with the best possible material, and for a bride that means freshly prepped skin. “Skin prep is key for any makeup look, but especially something more natural,” says Walsh. “Starting with cleansed skin, sweep a brightening toner over your whole face, like Charlotte Tilbury Glow Toner.” She then likes to follow with Charlotte Tilbury Magic Serum and Magic Cream. From there, less is more. Sculpt the creases of the lids with a light or sheer shadow, apply clusters of individual lashes, and finish with a brow gel.

To keep your contour subtle, try underpainting. Start with a cream contour like Westman Atelier Face Trace Cream Contour Stick under the cheekbones, along the jawline, and around the temples, blend it all out, and then layer your foundation on top. The result will be a gentle sculpt instead of a dramatic, snatched look.

Sweet and Spicy

A summer wedding in Palm Springs or Miami calls for one part glamour, two parts color, and a dash of sparkle—shaken and poured into a sugar-rimmed glass. A rose gold sparkly shadow like Hourglass Scattered Light Glitter Eye Shadow in Reflect gives this look a fun and flirty edge without being too New Years-y. Apply lightly in the crease of your eyelid and along the lower lash line. For that hint of spice, opt for a coral red lipstick like Yves Saint Laurent Rouge Pur Couture Satin Lipstick in Rose Dahlia.

Springtime Blush

Sweet pinks and soft features are always a major “I do” for a bride (you know, in addition to the other “I do”). Here, a soft-focus matte foundation like Lancome Teint Idole Ultra 24H Long Wear Matte Foundation gives the look a buffed “cloud skin” texture. Follow with just a light touch of blush along the cheekbones, filled-in but feathery brows, and a color wash of rosy pink eyeshadow all over the lids. The saturation of your pink lipstick depends on how bold you want to go, but we love the fun hibiscus shade Gomez has here. Urban Decay Vice Hydrating Lipstick in Art Walk would be a good dupe.

Easy and Breezy

This breezy, peachy look would look just as good at a destination wedding in the Bahamas as it would at Martha’s Vineyard. In other words, all you need to pull this off is a beach. “It’s very fun and fresh-looking,” says makeup artist Karina Morales. To recreate this look, Morales recommends the Colourpop Cosmetics “Sweet Talk” Eyeshadow Palette—“It has beautiful coral and orange shades that would be perfect here,” she shares. Follow with Fenty Beauty Cheeks Out Freestyle Cream Blush in Fuego Flush (“Only apply a bit just to get that hint of color that ties into the eyes,” adds Morales), a swipe of L’Oreal Glow Paradise Balm-in-Lipstick in Cherry Wonderland, and a set of wispy lashes.

Classic Hollywood

Flirty Elizabeth Taylor-esque eyes and bold red lips are an Old Hollywood dream for a bride that wants to make a dramatic entrance. “I would love to see this on a bride getting married in a museum or library,” says Walsh. “The juxtaposition of the architecture with the red lip would be perfect.” If you’re struggling with finding the perfect red, Walsh recommends Mac Ruby Woo as a universally flattering color.

If you do want to shop around for your wedding day red, be prepared. “Make sure you’re wearing makeup! Seeing a red lip against a face without the makeup you’d wear with it might look out of place to you,” says Walsh.

Retro Romance

If your wedding inspo board is looking less “enchanted garden” and more Mad Men (think: a boat neck wedding dress, a high ponytail, and a sidecar cocktail in hand), this retro, 60s-inspired look will fit right in. Here, the eyes do all the talking. Walsh recommends Ardell Naked Lash in 421 for that flirty, mod vibe. For the cheeky pout, Nars Lipstick in Dolce Vita would make even Twiggy herself proud. “This is also an excellent look for your bridesmaids,” notes Walsh, but we won’t tell anyone if you want to keep it for yourself.

Moody Glamour

If you’re more of a stiletto than a Mary Jane, you’ll want a look with a little sex appeal and oomph. Here, Gomez’s makeup toes the line between drama and subtlety—the lip is vampy, but the palette is fairly monochromatic, making the look feel a bit softer. Makeup artist Joseph Carrillo recommends starting with loose powder on the lids to ensure that the color doesn’t go on too pigmented. Then add Maybelline Nudes of New York in Globetrotter to the lid and “diffuse outward and up, creating a catlike shape,” says Carrillo. Dab a shimmery gold powder in the center of the lid and inner corner. Follow with a lengthening and separating mascara like Rose Inc Ultra-Black Lash Lifting and Lengthening Serum Mascara and a wine-hued satin lipstick like Valentino High Pigment Lipstick in Blessing In Disguise for a look that practically purrs.

Dramatic Smokey Eye

Your friends expect a spectacle on your big day (and you already bought the most blinged-out dress you could find), so you’ll need the high-glamour beauty to match. “The intense smokey shadow paired with a peachy-nude lip is great for a bride who isn’t afraid to be bold and stand out on her wedding day,” says Morales, who recommends starting with the eyeshadow so if there’s any fallout from the smokey eye, you won’t disrupt your base makeup. The Huda Beauty Empowered Eyeshadow Palette should give you every pigmented color you need for the lids. Blend the shade “Purpose” or “Worthy” up and out towards the temple for this dramatic “cat eye” shape, and use a smaller brush to smudge it along the bottom lashline.

You may want to skip lip gloss until the big kiss, but if you still want a little shine, Carrillo recommends Maybelline Super Stay Vinyl Ink Liquid Lip Color. “It gives a full coverage finish that doesn't transfer and maintains a gorgeous shine.”

You, But Enhanced

If makeup is the part of wedding planning you’re dreading the most, stick to an easy, light-coverage foundation and blush, and simply finish with a bold lash to make it a bit more elevated than your everyday look. We like Saie Slip Tint Dewy Tinted Moisturizer for an “I definitely drink enough water every day” hydrated finish, and Tower 28 BeachPlease Lip + Cheek Cream Blush in Golden Hour on the apples of the cheeks and a dab on the lips. Define the brows with Anastasia Beverly Hills Superfine Micro-Stroking Detail Brow Pen and finish with a few coats of volumizing mascara like Dior Diorshow Mascara. And voila!! We didn’t time you, but we bet it took less than ten minutes.
